Feeney Brothers’ work includes the installation of natural gas distribution lines, steam, telecommunications, and numerous types of electrical conduit. Feeney Brothers has been installing utility pipelines in New England for more than 25 years. The utility facilities range in size from 2” to 48” and include plastic and welded steel. We work with the major utilities that distribute natural gas, electric, and steam in the the Northeast. Feeney Brothers is experienced in performing work in urban, suburban, and rural environments. How long have you been in business?

Why have you stayed in Dorchester? Why not move to another location?

Brendan and Greg Feeney started their business here more than 25 years ago. Along the way, they have become very involved with the community and have established personal and professional relationships. This sense of community is important to them and this is where they want to be.

Feeney Brothers has been installing utility pipelines in New England for over 25 years. Our work includes the installation of natural gas transmission and distribution lines, steam, telecommunications, and numerous types of electrical conduit. How many employees do you have?

Feeney Brothers employs more than 700 full-time employees during the construction season. We operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. We have a rotation of supervisors on call with crews available 24/7 for emergency response. Our network of satellite yards and our centrally located facility enable us to provide immediate response to our customers’ emergency needs. Learn more about our team.

What qualifications do your crews have?

All our employees are required to be operator qualified to perform all job-related tasks. All crew members working with Feeney Brothers are enrolled in training programs targeting the skills necessary for the job. Learn about our extensive training programs.

We can service the entire Northeast with offices and yards throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Can you support emergency call-outs?

Feeney Brothers provides the following 24-hour emergency repair services:

How long do you take to complete a project?

Each project is unique; therefore, the estimated time to complete a project really depends on the scope of the job.

When do you start work in the morning and what time can I expect you to finish work at the end of a day?

Generally, our crews are on the job site from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. However, there may be city/town ordinances that require us to start later and end earlier. Either way, notification is made to all residents and business owners in advance of all non-emergency jobs. These notices, known as Abutter Notices, are sent out by the utility company we are contracted with to perform the service. Additionally, it is our practice to have our supervisors visit with the residents and business owners in the vicinity of the job site. What is my lawn going to look like if you are working in front of my house?

There may be times that our work requires us to disturb a property in order to install your gas service line. When this happens, we are committed to restoring the property as best we can to maximize your satisfaction with the process.

I’m a business owner. What is going to happen when I have customers or deliveries?

Our goal is to minimize the impact to your business as much as possible. If our work requires us to block normal access to your business, we will attempt to establish visible and alternate means of access for your customers and vendors.

Does Feeney conduct walk-in interviews?

We do not conduct walk-in interviews at this time. We will contact you to schedule an interview after we have had the opportunity to review your application.

Does Feeney Brothers require drug testing?

Yes. Much of Feeney Brothers' work is regulated by the Department of Transportation under the PHMSA and FMCSA. Employees in covered functions are required to take pre-employment drug tests and are subject to random, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion testing.

What should I bring to my interview?

Please bring any certificates or additional licenses, a notebook, and a pen, and be prepared to be here for at least an hour.
