We focus on building the most safety-conscious, skilled, and knowledgeable construction workforce in the country. Feeney Brothers invests heavily in its commitment to safety, from our competent and experienced safety personnel who perform regular onsite inspections, to our training programs focused on teaching our employees to consistently deliver quality utility projects in the safest manner possible. We provide the equipment and tools our employees need to consistently deliver quality utility projects in a safe and efficient manner.
Every new employee receives 80 hours of extensive safety training, covering topics such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Work Hazards, Tool Safety, Fire Protection, Traffic and Pedestrian Safety, Ladder Safety, Excavation and Trenching Safety, Dig Safe Requirements, and recognizing Abnormal Operation Conditions (AOCs). These safety topics run throughout all our modules and are crucial in educating our workforce about the importance of job site safety.
Safety education does not end with our required 80-hour new hire training. We are committed to ensuring our workforce is safe. Safety meetings are held regularly with supervisors, foremen, and other team members. Daily Job Safety Briefings are held each morning and throughout the day as needed on each of our job sites. Many of our employees are certified in OSHA, Competent Person, HAZWOPER, and CPR. Our safety officers are on sites performing audits to ensure compliance and to recognize training reinforcement opportunities.
Feeney Brothers’ safety organization is dedicated to utilizing cutting edge technology and industry innovations to keep our workforce safe. Our focus on eliminating hazards, mitigating risk, and protecting our personnel from harm is driven by a commitment across our organization to be the safest utility service provider.
