Eversource Energy’s aging low-pressure gas mains and services posed a greater leak risk as time went by, necessitating the need for replacement. Concurrently, the Town of Naugatuck was slated to repave over 12,000’ of road, requiring close coordination between Feeney Brothers and the Town of Naugatuck.The Solution
Four crews completed the replacement of more than 12,000 feet of cast iron main pipe with 6” plastic main pipe and replaced 250 residential services throughout the job. Feeney Brothers continues to work with Eversource and the community to make sure the infrastructure is upgraded to become safer and sustainable along with meeting paving deadlines for the Town of Naugatuck.
