We believe in investing in our workforce and encouraging advancement and growth. That’s why, through our partnership with Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC), we created the Gas Utility Technology (GUT) degree option program, an innovative, high-quality, on-the-job experience for students seeking long-term, sustainable careers in the gas industry.  

This five-semester program helps build competent gas industry leaders who maintain Feeney Brothers’ high standards of safety and quality.

Benefits of the program include:

  • Paid, for-credit summer internship and two four-week paid work experiences during winter breaks for students who maintain a grade of C or higher in the GUT courses (students work full-time for $16 per hour, with available overtime hours at time and a half)
  • An Associate in Science Degree upon successful completion
  • Guaranteed career placement at Feeney Brothers with an opportunity for rapid advancement for those who graduate in good standing. Opportunities for advancement to Gas Utility Operator, Gas Utility Foreman, and Gas Utility Supervisor are available.
